Bill Allen

William L. Allen was raised in Auburndale, Florida and graduated from Auburndale High School in 1991. Bill received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida (B.A. Cum Laude 1995).

Following undergraduate studies, Bill obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis (J.D. Magna Cum Laude 1998), where he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Criminal Law as well as Civil Procedure. Additionally, Bill received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Scholastic Excellence in Civil Procedure and Criminal Law from West Publishing Corporation. Bill was admitted to the Florida Bar and initially served as an Assistant Public Defender handling a variety of criminal litigation cases.

In 2000, Bill left the Office of the Public Defender and entered private practice. His practice focuses on representing clients in a variety of family law matters including divorce, child custody, paternity and child support actions.

Bill devotes substantial time representing victims of automobile accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death actions and all other types of cases resulting in injury to his clients. Bill defends individuals charged with criminal matters ranging from traffic offenses such as driving under the influence to drug offenses and murder. Bill prides himself taking aggressive strategies in the pursuit of his client’s best interests.

Bill is currently a member of the Lakeland Bar Association and the Polk County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Gregory Abaray

Gregory P. Abaray graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida in 1992 with a B.A. in Legal Studies. He furthered his legal education by attending the Shepard Broad Law Center: Nova Southeastern University upon which he graduated in 1996 with cum laude honors.

During his legal education, he also worked in the highly-prestigious position as a Goodwin Research Assistant for Professor Michael J. Dale from 1994 to 1995. Gregory was admitted to the Florida Bar in September of 1996 and is currently a member of the American Association of Justice, Polk County Criminal Lawyer Association, the Lakeland Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Middle District of Federal Court for Florida. Mr. Abaray is also Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar, an accomplishment that less than 3% of Florida attorneys have achieved.

He joined the firm in March of 2003 and handles personal injury, automobile accidents, insurance disputes, medical malpractice, nursing home, civil litigation, and wrongful death.  Gregory handles cases before both the state and federal trial courts, as well as appellate matters.

In his spare time away from the office, he enjoys fishing, water sports, snorkeling and spending time with his family.
